Imagine NDG: From Wonderful Ideas to Wonderful Results!

 


What if every month we made one little corner of NDG better than it was before?

For years, I've dreamed of transforming NDG into a community where everyone has the opportunity to live an extraordinary life.

A community where nobody goes hungry, where people care for one another, and where our collective resources are used to make life better for everyone.

But I've been thinking about something important.

Dreaming of a better world is wonderful. Actually creating one is even better!

The One Improvement a Month Challenge

Imagine if residents, businesses, schools, churches and community organizations across NDG each committed to making one small, visible improvement every month.

Perhaps one apartment building creates a shared pantry for residents who need a little help.

A local business offers a few complimentary meals to neighbours experiencing hardship.

A school organizes a student-led neighbourhood cleanup.

Or a group of residents transforms a neglected patch of land into a beautiful little garden.

Nothing needs to be enormous.

Nothing needs to be expensive.

And nobody needs to wait for permission to begin improving something within their own responsibility.

The important thing is that we move from imagining what could be to creating what will be.

Today's A NuVo World Challenge

Look around your immediate surroundings and ask yourself one question:

What is one small improvement I could help make happen before the end of November?

Then take the very first step toward making it a reality.

My vision for A NuVo World isn't simply to write about a more caring, connected and vibrant NDG.

It's to help build one — together with anyone who shares that dream.

And imagine what could happen if hundreds, eventually thousands, of our neighbours began making one meaningful improvement every month!

One idea. One completed improvement. One more beautiful NDG.
