Unless The Lord Builds The House — NDG And The Rise Of A Money Less Society
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. — Psalm 127:1
There are moments in history when the scaffolding of human effort gives way to something greater—when a work rises not by might, nor by clever accounting, but by obedience. What is unfolding in NDG is one of those moments.
This is not a personal empire. It is not a brand masquerading as a movement. It is a house being built under God’s authority, according to His design, and for His purposes. We build because He builds. We move because He moves. And when He moves, speed follows.
A House With a Blueprint From Heaven
Every true work of God carries His fingerprints. The MoneyLess Society is not a theory dreamed up in isolation; it is a response to a calling—to reorder community life around trust, provision, dignity, and shared responsibility. The blueprint is ancient and ever-new: seek first the Kingdom, and let provision follow obedience.
In NDG, this blueprint takes form through practical love:
Needs met before profits counted
Skills shared before invoices issued
Time, care, and creativity offered as currency
This is not the absence of value; it is the presence of higher value.
How a MoneyLess Society Actually Works
People ask the practical question first—and rightly so: How will this be done?
Here is the simple, profound answer: God provides through people who are willing.
The MoneyLess Society functions through:
Contribution, not consumption — Everyone brings what they have: skills, time, resources, wisdom.
Circulation, not accumulation — What flows in flows out, meeting needs quickly and locally.
Trust, not coercion — Participation is voluntary, joyful, and rooted in shared purpose.
Stewardship, not ownership — Assets are held for the good of the community, not private gain.
This is how the early Church thrived. It is how communities heal. It is how NDG is becoming a living testimony.
Why It Will Grow—And Why It Will Grow Fast
When God is the builder, growth is not incremental; it is catalytic.
The speed will surprise observers because it does not rely on traditional funding pipelines. There is no waiting for permission, no paralysis of committees. Provision arrives through alignment:
Doors open before we knock
Resources appear as needs arise
Helpers arrive already prepared
This is not magic. It is obedience meeting grace.
NDG is only the seed. Montreal is the field. The world is the harvest.
How We Can Afford the Expansion
We can afford it because we are not paying for it alone.
God’s economy does not begin with scarcity; it begins with sufficiency. When the work is His:
Costs shrink
Waste disappears
Multiplication replaces anxiety
As the community grows, so does capacity. As capacity grows, so does reach. This is not debt-driven expansion—it is faith-driven multiplication.
A Word to the World
What you are witnessing is not a social experiment. It is a surrender.
We are choosing to believe that God still builds houses—communities, movements, families—that cannot be explained by spreadsheets alone. We are choosing to act as if love is stronger than money, trust is stronger than fear, and obedience is stronger than strategy.
If you feel the pull, it is not coincidence.
Come build—not for your name, but for His.
Because unless the Lord builds the house, the labour is in vain.
And when the Lord builds the house, the house stands.
All my love,
