The Library Isn't Just For Books!

My new wife Christy and I live in a nice-sized 3&1/2.  We have 56" TV's in the living room as well as one in our bedroom - the latter having been passed on to me by the angel who I rented this unit from - Surya - starting March of 2024.

The unit in the living room is a SMART TV - and I have access to YOutube and Prime TV through this.  While I have an Apple 4K TV Box - I haven't installed it in the bedroom - and since the TV is not a SMART TV - only have access to cable.  Recently we bought a nice Panasonic DVD Player off of Facebook Marketplace for $10.

That was a couple of weeks ago.  Since that time we have made several trips to Benny Library in order to peruse the DVD collection - and to take out movies which spoke to us.  To date we have watch about 10 - each of which being special in their own way - and something which in some way or another was meant for us to see - and to recommend.

Last evening we watched Rocketman - the life story of Reginald Dwight - aka - Elton John.  I know there are many who may love his music - but - not necessarily his flamboyance and personna.  I encourage you all to watch this movie.  It is replete with many items which even great fans of his music may not know - and can help you to perhaps understand much more about this great man.

Another thing I have learned about the library is that we can request books/DVD's from other Montreal libraries - which provided we have our card number - will be delivered to us at Benny.  This is a wonderful service which I have just used today!

We have a relatively active day today - but are looking forward to watching one of two videos later - Love Story - featuring Ali McGraw and Ryan O'Neal or Cold Mountain with Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweiger tonight.  I hope this resonates with you - and that wherever you are in this world - you take advantage of the great resources available to you at your local library.  You can't find everything on the internet!

All my love,
