Getting out of pain
In early January I did some research and found a reflexologist who seemed professional and able - and we scheduled a number of sessions with him. Ultimately we did not continue with him - as reflexology was his sideline and we couldn't find times which suited our needs as he worked 40 hours/week at a local hospital. I searched NDG for another reflexologist - and found the landscape to be barren - and if it was offered - it was generally at near $100/session. In an effort to get Christy well, I learned foot reflexology and certified my skills/knowledge. I have done this primarily to help Christy - but am extending my services out to the West End community. RH Reflexology.
We manage Christy's pain with a number of different techniques. Her GP has prescribed a number of analgesics which do help but which she would rather not take. She has a Teeter Inversion Table - which helps to decompress the spine and eliminates a good deal of her pain. I am giving her 1-2 reflexology treatments/week. We are going to Econofitness 3 times/week - where she is focusing on strength and cardio - and where we have the platinum membership which enables free use of the massage chairs, hydromassage beds and tanning setup. In addition she is having a hot bath of long duration every evening with Dr. Teal's Bubble Bath.
A group I had spoken with in early January - Physicentrix - has regularly messaged me about coming for a free consult. Having just paid for a wedding in mid February of 2025 - the time was not right. Finally Christy spoke with Misha Price, the Founder of the organization and scheduled a visit - which we are just back from. As I said - the mission of my blog posts is to tell all my readers about little pieces of Heaven I have found - and Physicentrix is one! From the moment Christy and I walked in we truly liked Misha and Kelsey. We were a bit early and Misha offered us water, coffee or tea. We spoke with Kelsey about the clinic and inside 10 minutes were sitting with both of them. They went through a long list of questions - aiming to gauge what our needs, hopes, reservations etc were - and then followed with a very good delivery of what their specializations were and where we may be able to go with them. Kelsey - the Osteopath - then did a brief evaluation of Christy's range of motion and level of pain. From this we moved on to a discussion of where to go - which was for a second more in depth appointment. Both christy and I were very impressed with everything about Misha and Kelsey - and we are very confident that they will be the ones to help to ease Christy's pain - especially in the most crucial spot - her back! Please read the magazine attached here.
For Christy - getting out of pain would be Heaven on Earth. We see every step of this path as Divinely ordained - and hope that this article will serve you if you or someone you know is in pain.
All my love,
