Exploring New Horizons...

I have been far away for awhile now - focused on my writing and creating.  The sum total of my efforts now is 21 published books and 14 published songs!  I have decided to relax and enjoy for the entire month of December - calling it 'The Month of Ross!'

In this month I had decided to eat out at my favourite restaurants 6 days/week - spending every Tuesday at our local food bank - Resto Depot - where they serve a very nice meal along with live music.  I sent a message to my family about this and my sister Susan messaged me back saying she thought that 6 days/week was excessive.  She is always the voice of moderation - and in this case I believe she is right!  I have decided to eat out 3 days/week - and to visit all of my favourite restaurants at least once/month, including:
  • Le Manoir NDG - western omelette with cheese
  • Nikas - pork souvlaki plate or hamburger steak
  • Chalet BBQ - chicken, fries, buns and sauce
  • Geez - Fraz burger, frings and two Coors Lights
  • Yangtze - their amazing dinner for one!
  • Snowdon Deli - smoked meat, fries, karnatl and Cott's black cherry
  • Tasty Food - hamburger & pineapple pizza and fries with sauce
  • Kanda - Szechuan and sushi buffet
  • Express Indien - tandoori and butter chicken
If you are from Montreal - I am certain I have made your mouth water!  If you aren't - you must come to our fair city and try out these amazing restos!

Something else I had decided for December was that I was going to stay to myself more - using the change of weather as an excuse to sort of hibernate.  Today I was going to stay inside, but something drove me to go up to my 'office' - the two benches outside the Metro grocers on Somerled at Walkley.  As I made my way outsdie I was struck by how fresh and great the cold crisp air felt - and loved the very thin layer of snow which had accumulated overnight.  As I drove to my 'office' I found myself smiling and saying - 'I love my life!'  I feel so grateful and thankful - for everything which is happening to me at this point.  I spent an hour and a half at my office - greeting everyone who came by with a smile and a wish of a wonderful day - the world really is beautiful!

As we move through December - I hope each and every one of you takes the time to enjoy every aspect of your life - Christmas is coming - and with it God has some great gifts in store for the entire world!

Wishing you peace, love and joy always...
