G3 Faith-Based Peer Mentoring

My desire in creating this blog is to progressively demonstrate to you the fact that we actually are living in Heaven on Earth - here in NDG - right now!

We have the power to create Heaven by our actions and our predominant thoughts.  Many years ago I coined the phrase; 'with every act of love, Heaven grows across Earth.'  This is the essence of Heaven - it is living in love the very vast majority of our time.  The closer we can come to living in love 24/7/365 - the closer we will come to Heaven - on Earth.

Life is difficult.  No one is spared from hardships.  We all need a safe harbour to heal our wounds and overcome all the negatives that life throws at us.  Depression at some level affects almost every person.  It is difficult to be a feeling, caring human being and to see the state of this world - with wars, poverty, famine, disease, and a myriad of other social ills - and to not feel out of control and unable to do anything about all these evils.

G3 Faith-Based Peer Mentoring was borne out of my desire to help people - from all over the world - to overcome their maladies and to develop a much brighter outlook for the future.  People who are suffering come to us in a myriad of ways.  It could be in person by bumping into us on the street or it could be by finding us online.  Our help is available in two forms as well - in person and via ZOOM or Facebook or Google Video Chat.  Our Peer Mentors are skillful listeners with an interest in helping you to heal.

Helping to transform our community members - and directing them towards a life where they can live more and more of their lives in love is a very real way I plan on transforming our community into Heaven on Earth.  Another initiative I am heading up is called NuVo (which means 'the best!').  My goal for this world is to create a NuVo, better world, one day and one person at a time.  By 'paying it forward' people whose lives are being transformed will tell others - one becomes two - two becomes four - four becomes eight - etc.  The additive effects are very powerful!  We can effect change in our entire community of about 68,000 residents in a matter of months!

For those who read my column regularly - you know it is about finding Heaven right here on Earth.  My NDG Project is all about this!  It is about transforming our community - and all other communities across the world - into a collective of wonderful communities - where everyone can flourish. The Key to the Universe

My story is a long and amazing journey.  In January of 2004, as I lay comatose in a bed in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of the Montreal General Hospital for 3 days - a reel played on continuous loop in my heart and mind.  It followed my entire life - from my most junior years - to a time which at that point I had not even experienced.  God gave the name of this journey - ' Come Away With Me.  The ongoing story of the life of Ross Harvey .' It is 20 years later and this name - and the journey have stayed ever-present in my heart and mind.  God told me that He would create a series of movies about my journey and would follow this by continuous live streamed episodes - as myself and a group of 300 'Pioneers' traveled across the worlds - seeking out new horizons. A Confession - Of Sorts

For those who read my blog posts - you know this blog is aimed at helping you find Heaven - here on Earth - in our everyday lives.  I'd like to share with you a story of my day today. River's Edge Community Church is a wonderful institution in NDG.  I had never been there physically - but have followed Lorenzo DellaForesta - the lead pastor's messages online quite often.  I love the way he presents his material - and the way the entire service is delivered - with wonderful, uplifting music by Lorenzo's wife Michelle and her twin sister Monica, along with a great band. I went to River's Edge for the service - but mainly to meet up with several friends afterwards - as they were having their monthly Community Brunch.  I thoroughly enjoyed the service and met several people from the community who I know - two of whom are helping out as volunteers!   When it was time for brunch - the people in charge had done an amazing job of establishing two identical setup...
